Summer-time!

I can now walk outside in the morning wearing only a hoodie without freezing to death = summer = very happy Emelie.
And, since it's summer now, I've been planning my summer a bit. (not as horribly control-freakish as I usually do! Go me!)

week 32 - Gotland

Semi-planned stuff:

Glass shards

Something very scary happened just now. I was in the lunch room, going for a cup of tea, or actually a glass of tea. So I took a large, thick edged glass and put it in the coffee machine and pressed the HOT WATER button and waited.
SHQUAING!
The glass broke in two perfect halves. No shards flew anywhere, just two large pieces of glass. One of the halves was actually still standing in the coffee machine. And, naturally, a guy had his computer bag just underneath it, so it was drenched in hot water. No harm done, though, thank God.

I re-published Evershore on Fefo last night. One reader. ONE READER!! I'm used to fifty! Crap... Perhaps I have to start writing corny love stories about Sirius and Remus in Swedish to have people read my stuff. GAH! Maybe I could polish up LLS... Yeah, might do that. I'm also gonna (try and) study some French tonight, and draw some Evershore comic book frames. I seriously need a scanner.

I repainted an old ... thingy ... yesterday. It's like a painting, only it's made out of ceramic, the subject already there for you to color. I had painted it when I was 10, pretty good for a 10-year-old but I really love it and wanted to make it look properly done. Too bad I didn't take a picture before I started painting... Ah well. It might just turn up on DeviartART tonight.

I'm thinking about applying for a job at Glenn Miller Café here in Stockholm. Would I do good as a waitress? Glenn Miller's is a jazz bar, and it's only the owners who work there at the moment. They say on their website that they're looking for people, and if that's the case, they've been understaffed since I was there with Christian last winter. It might just be worth a try. And it might just give me some extra cash. It's just that I need the extra cash before I go to Paris. But, the working hours at Glenn Miller's are 5PM to 1AM Mon-Thur and 5PM-2AM Fri-Sat. Might be hard, but I bet it could be worth it. I think I'm gonna try, actually. I'll call them today on the bus home.

Yes, buses. The subway is driving me CRAZY over here. They have some trouble between the second to last stop and the last stop, which is where I live, so that distance is replaced by a bus. They SERIOUSLY think that the people on an entire subway train could fit in ONE bus! They are out of their effing minds!!! -sigh-

How about that?

I had completely forgotten about this blog! I've been sticking to my livejournal up till now, as there one can make the posts personal. It's been a lot of personal stuff going on lately, but, I can write you a quick update:

I've moved from home.
I've found out a lot about my past that I didn't know.
I've got a kids group at Karbin.
I've got a full-time job.
I've decided what to study (yes, I finally made up my mind).
I'm in love.
I've been starring in a film-version of the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet.

The rest of it is still too private for everybody being able to read. Sorry...

Planned stuff:
I'm going to Paris for my birthday, meet up with a dear friend of mine who will be working there.

That's all I have for today, I think. I might write something more tonight, I'm not sure. See you!

Tattoo!

I came home from Gotland just this morning. It was kinda dull, really, but the Medieval Week rocked, and so did the fire show held by Trix.

I got a tattoo though the last day we were there. The sign for Gemini on my right calf. Looks really neat ;)

So much

There's so much I wanna write here, but as I'm not really sure which people read my blog, I can't comfortably post it.

My brother is back from Holland, though. I've missed him a bit.

Work is good. The days fly by, which is nice. Some of the people there are really great. It took a while to get them to talk to me though, and that's really unusual for me, to be shy, but I guess I'm shy when I'm the new one and not the one welcoming people.

I got my big computer back from Mum's friend Micke. It's awesome, except that Internet doesn't work on it. Really wierd. Good thing I have my laptop.

I'm drawing a deck of cards for C. He only wants a joker card, but I wanna make it complete. Feels like it's gonna be fun. Maybe I'll post images here.

Nothing more really... Oh yeah! Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is on the movies soon. I'm gonna see it with Martin and some other HP-geeks this Saturday, and then next weekend is the release for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Loads of Harry Potter for me to enjoy in this time of seemingly eternal darkness! Whoopie!

I really have to get my medieval dress finished before the end of July. Don't know when I'll have time for that though. Bugger!

Gtg, c ya!

It passed

Yes, my 20th birthday passed by very cooperativly. I hosted a party the saturday before, pirate themed! It rocked, everybody had a good time and everyone had a costume of some sort. I had the best one of course, but all the other kiddos did a good job. By brother David won the 30 golden coins award for best costume, and the green team won the treasure hunt, and the black team won the how-well-do-you-know-me-questions-competition.

I had my first day at the new job today. (I know, I change jobs as people change socks... um well, not really *eew*) It went quite fine, a bit lonely but the day felt shorter than it was. Mimmi is still in Greece, but will be back after the weekend. That will rock! Haha, we have the most fun in the oddest of times.

And oh, yes... Weekend. This weekend is Midsummer's Eve, and we celebrate it by eating a lot and drinking a lot. Quoting AJ; well, that's how you swedes celebrate everything. I guess he's right. The rub is, I don't have anything to do. My boyfriend is going to his summer house with his family (he hasn't asked me if I want to come, and I can't ask if I can, so... I'm stuck here in the middle), I have no idea what Mimmi's gonna do, and Fredrika isn't answering her phone. I would like to go to her summer house, it's so cosy out there. Ah, well, I think I might be working friday, so maybe I won't get to celebrate anything. Lovely.

I've got so much I want to write down, but I can't really do it here... People do read my texts (sometimes I wish they didn't) so I can't blurb out too many secrets. That's what DIARIES are for, not blogs. Blogs are just for fun, you don't actually need them. That's where you write about ugly people you saw on the street or what a beautiful purse you saw the other day that you just can't afford, but still buy it a few days later, brag about it on you blog, just to regret it a few more days later.

I hate money.

Soon to be 20

Feels kinda wierd, really. You really grow up at the age of 20, or at least you're expected to. I think I might suffer from Peter Pan syndrome. I'm completely terrified by the thought about growing up. I don't know why, but I really am. If growing up means that I can't read Harry Potter or listen to the radio theatre of the Chronicles of Narnia, then I don't wanna grow up. And if it means that I can't have dress-out-parties or arrange and attend to LARPs, I don't wanna grow up. And if it means that I can't go to the zoo because I enjoy it, I definitely don't wanna grow up!

I might just become the best grand mother ever, when I get to that.

Work at Arlanda begins June 18th, and I'll be there until July 31st. After that, there will be Gotland for two weeks before I go back to Agentum, if I don't go study.

I am very tempted to go abroad this autumn. I wanna go to Paris, Rome, Athens and all of Egypt, not just Cairo, Alexandria or Luxor, but ALL of it! *Egyptology-maniac* I also want to learn french, and a bit greek. Jimmi speaks it fluently so maybe he could teach me a bit. I'd like to be able to read ancient texts, and much of it is written in greek and latin. Would be kinda cool to know latin too, wouldn't it?

Am I a knowledge-greedy-wannabe-know-it-all?

Haven't heard from the schools yet. I kinda hope that I don't get accepted in the teacher-school, because I want to work. Gives me more money. I might also get to work full-time after summer. That'd kick ass. And then, I'll do some serious travelling. I hope someone would want to come with me...

C you

Yoho, yoho! A pirate's life for me!

I saw Pirates of the Carribean - at World's End yesterday. It was kinda good, it will probably be better next time I see it, now it was just too messy. But behind me sat an American guy with a pirate t-shirt; black with a white skull and a pair of white crossed sabers underneath. He was really cool! I said that I liked his shirt, and then he started telling me where he'd gotten it and stuff. He had red hair (dyed) and red fingernails. He really made the film funnier!

But... can you really choose between Jack and Will?

Rollercoaster

Yes, my life right now could be compared to a rollercoaster. Sometimes I feel really good, and that everything is just going as it should; like yesterday when the sun was shining and I lay on our balcony sunbathing for two very needed hours. Sometimes everything feels miserable, like when you think you've got more money than what you really have. That just sucks.

Yesterday I was out with my brother playing basket ball. I got the damn ball in the face (don't laugh), and my upper lip cracked on the inside and my teeth got loose underneath the braces. Yippie!

This Friday I'm going to visit my dear friend Anina! She lives just outside Västerås, so it's a journey by train for about one hour, then Ill probably get picked up by Anina's mother. We'll watch all of the Harry Potter movies, eat ice cream and pizza the whole week-end! It's gonna kick ass and will be a much needed break from my every-day-life. Thanks for existing, Anina-Chan~!
